I have a bunch of important things to say right now, but as I don't feel like saying them, they loose their importance.
Johnny Mathis, Harry Belafonte, Patrick Hernandez, Iron Maiden and Bill Haley. What do they have in common? Music? I wouldn't say so, really, because music is too varied, it's difficult to put it all into one only sack just because of vibrating air. Really.
These musicians made part of my night today. Me + LittleBroWhoLivesDeepInsideMyHeart decided to dance some Hernandez, given the fact that he rules and disco is cool. Then one thing led to another, and we ended up dancing a lot of stuff, discussing some styles, laughing a lot, too :D
The most incredible part of this night, and of all music, maybe of all art, is, I think, it's variety. And the process that makes mjsic change, that leads one style to many others. Also that these 'others' too change with time, they change because times change and people change and the way the think and create changes too.
It's so beautiful and amazing to realize this. To feel all those different feelings people have fealt long and no so long ago, even if in a corrupted way.
It's a feeling that makes a cliché phrase echo in my head: "My God, it's full of stars!"
(And besides, a world whare someone like Hernandez can be famous is a better world. Truer to essence, not just appereance nor plastic art :P)
